We came here to celebrate a birthday. They were very helpful and even put the cake I brought in their refrigerator u til after dinner. The food was excellent. The atmosphere has a modern PR vibe. The DJ gave the birthday girl a shoutout and even played some birthday music. Thank you to the staff for making her birthday so special.
This is a great place for a birthday or a night out with friends for dinner and music. I highly recommend the churrasco. It is flavorful and delicious as well as their rice and beans. They also have hookah at night time which I love. Their drinks are good. The service isn't the best, as it does get busy-- but it will do.
Great food, friendly service, amazing atmosphere, lovely place. I absolutely love the zurullos and alcapurias.
True story. I had a 2.5 hour layover at MCO and wanted something other than what was available in the food court area. So, I set out to locate a restaurant a short distance away. Those efforts led me to one the best Pr meals I've had outside of PR. Add to that its decor, the music and adult beverage offerings were impressive. Upon entering, you'd completely forget it's in a strip mall. The lighting, photo backgrounds, DJ make this great if interesting in a lively dinner. It's also perfect for a night out with friends or celebratory event. I highly recommend the roast pork, pigeon pea rice, trifongo, arroz con pollo and chorizo and the passion fruit mojito. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. As purely an awareness item, 18% gratuity was added. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit so we definitely added more. Maribel was attentive and very welcoming. Worth the trek and looking forward to visiting again the next time I'm in the city. **In terms of timing, we were in and out in less than an hour @7p on a weekend.
My wife and I had a great experience. Although I will say, this is one of those places that would like to return to simply to see if it will be the same experience. Let's talk about the ambiance - They had a live DJ spinning the tables. Very good mix of songs. Some people dancing in different areas. Music is LOUD! The restaurant Gozamba, has their music for you to bleed through your ears- a straight 10, but this place has music very loud, yet not as bad- it's a straight 7. They had 2 active bars, that were very big! Servers were 95% on point!!! Sweet and attentive! The food was terrific! Everything had flavor and came out very hot! We had for appetizer, Alcapurrias. That was so good and authentic! Tasted straight from the Island! I had the paella! It was off da hook! Great portion of lobster, shrimp, mussels and etx. Great for 2 people to eat, or for leftovers! My wife had their white rice and beans, pork chops. The only part our server messed up was- we asked for grill pork chops. When it came out it came out fried. We asked out that, and he said "we don't do pork chops grill anymore". That would be nice to mention before. However, all of it was so good!!! We skipped dessert!
My husband and I decided to stop by Made In Puerto Rico for some appetizers and drinks for Easter. When you walk in you are greeted by the hostess who sat us down immediately. If you choose to sit inside be advised the music is really loud which makes it a little hard to have a conversation with your guests but the music they do play is really good and provides a party atmosphere. For drinks we ordered the El Yunque and an Original Mojito. My husband enjoyed his Mojito but it had too much mint for my taste. My El Yunque drink was delicious it had a perfect amount of tequila and juice so it didn't taste too strong and not overly sweet either. For appetizers we ordered the Tostones Relleno with pork and the Queso Frito with guava sauce. The tostones were packed with lots of pork and had a good flavor. The queso frito was really tasty but the guava dipping sauce made it taste even better and it came with a lot of pieces. Everything was great from the service to the food and would definitely come back again. I just wish they would lower the volume of the music in the inside dining room just a little bit so it's easier to have a conversation.
A Gastronomic Journey to Remember at Made/Hecho in Puerto Rico! Wepa! Immersed in the delightful ambiance of Hispanic music, the air thrums with a harmonious blend of melodies spanning from the revered classics of legendary artists to the modern rhythms of today's stars, creating a vibrant tapestry that resonates with every soul present. This musical journey not only bridges generations but also infuses the atmosphere with a sense of nostalgia and contemporary vibrancy, against which laughter and camaraderie flourish. It's an environment where stories are exchanged, and new memories are woven, all to the soundtrack of a rich, shared heritage, making every meal an occasion of joyous encounters. Amidst this lively backdrop, visual delights abound with strategically placed TVs that enhance the ambiance, culminating in the pièce de résistance--a large selfie spot before the majestic Puerto Rican flag, inviting guests to immerse themselves in the island's vibrant narrative. As evening deepens and a live DJ takes the stage at 8 pm, the energy surges, turning the night into a dynamic fiesta that captures the essence of Puerto Rican culture. This transformation heralds a celebration not just of food, but of community, music, and the indomitable spirit of Puerto Rico, making each visit an unforgettable journey into the heart of the island's jubilant life. From the moment my sister and I stepped into the vibrant, bustling ambiance of Made in Puerto Rico, we knew we were in for a culinary escapade that would tickle our taste buds and serenade our souls with the flavors of the island. This isn't just a restaurant; it's a passport to an authentic Puerto Rican gastronomy paradise. Let's talk about the pièce de résistance of my evening - the skirt steak mofongo. Saying it was delicious would be an understatement. The steak was not just cooked; it was crafted to perfection, tender and rich with each bite melting in my mouth like culinary poetry. The mofongo, oh, the mofongo! It was a symphony of textures - light, soft, and utterly divine, a far cry from the usual fare that can sometimes feel like a workout for your jaw. And the white sauce? ¡Ay, Dios mío! It was so fantastically addictive that I contemplated bathing in it, but settled for asking for an extra portion instead. Mi corazón still dreams of it. On the culinary adventure, my sister decided to voyage through memory lane with the mofongo with beef stew (Carne Guisada). With each spoonful, she was transported back to our mother's kitchen, the beef soft, juicy, and simmering with flavors that hugged you from the inside. It wasn't just food; it was nostalgia served on a platter. Our journey began with alcapurrias that were nothing short of a crispy, heavenly delight. Served piping hot, these morsels had a crunchy exterior giving way to a soft, flavorful interior, making our taste buds dance in joyous anticipation for what was yet to come. To culminate our culinary escapade, we ventured into the sweet territory. My sister, a connoisseur of desserts, declared the flan a masterpiece of perfection - smooth, creamy, and just the right touch of sweetness to serenade the senses. As for me, I unabashedly surrendered to the tres leches cake--a wonder that defied gravity with its ethereal softness, a moistness that flirted with greatness, and a sweetness so delicate it tiptoed across my taste buds. Without question, it crowned our delightful dinner like a mischievous dessert monarch. In a nutshell, Made in Puerto Rico isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. An experience that embraces you with the warmth of Puerto Rican hospitality, serenades you with its culinary excellence and leaves you yearning for more. Whether you're yearning for a comforting taste of home or seeking an exciting new adventure, this hidden gem awaits as your ultimate destination ¡Buen provecho! Every corner, every tune, and every dish at this establishment is a tribute to the rich tapestry of Puerto Rican culture. The laughter, the music, the people, and the picturesque spots create an experience that's more than just a meal out--it's a joyful celebration of life itself. In summary, this isn't merely a suggestion to dine at a restaurant; it's an open invitation to submerge yourself in an encounter that titillates the taste buds, enchants the senses, and fills the heart with warmth. Pay a visit and grant this establishment an opportunity. Beyond a mere meal, you'll encounter a lively celebration of Puerto Rican culture--a place where each dish narrates a tale, and every visit evokes a sense of homecoming. But don't solely rely on my words; experience the magic for yourself. Ven y veras! PS: Do not go hungry the wait is long---but well worth it!
If you're looking for a chill lounge to brunch and listen to freestyle & throwback latin music, look no further! They even have plenty of photo ops with a ring light to take & send pics or gifs to your device which was super cool! They offer a $40 prefix menu that has 3 courses, however, I was pretty much set on ordering their Trifongo with skirt steak. The Alcapurrias were the first thing we tried and OMG they were probably one of the best i've tried in a long time! Super flavorful and crispy, it takes me back to the ones I would get en la Isla (Puerto Rico). I would recommend getting one of their fishbowls, they have 3 different flavors but we tried the Playa Azul (Passionfruit, Pineapple, Rum, Tequila, Blue Curaçao). It was delicious and a pretty big serving so it can definitely be shared if needed. We requested to order a Hookah for the table and after asking a few times, it finally made its way to us. It was a nice flavor, but I wish the quality of the Shisha was a bit better. The Trifongo with Skirt Steak needs its own special mention!! You know you're eating a good Mofongo when you can eat it by itself without the Ajo sauce. They had a delicious cream ajo sauce that complimented the entire dish. The Churrasco steak was cooked perfectly and topped with fresh chimichurri. WELL DONE! I'm glad this place is so close to home, i'll definitely be back.
This is a true traditional Puerto Rican restaurant with tasty traditional food! I came here with my mother for the first time, and we enjoyed it! We tried the alcapurrias and the pork (chicharron) mofongo, and they were both delicious! The menu has a good variety of food and there is a full bar. The vibe is 100% Boricua with great salsa background music. The service was friendly, helpful and 100% bilingual, so my mom was happy to speak Spanish with the server. Made in Puerto Rico is centrally located in one of the busiest and most diverse areas in Orlando. The GPS will take you straight to it if you are not familiar with the area. There is plenty of free parking. I am definitely coming back to try other items from the menu and for a little bit of a dance!
